PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Nkiru Amaechi is a solicitor at the Law Firm of George Etomi & Partners. She has handled several high profile legal matters in the areas of Aviation Law, Property Law, Family Law, Building Contract, Capital Market, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Land Law, Company Re-structuring, Maritime Law, Taxation Law.
She has attended seminars on the Operation of the Cabotage Act 2003 and has undergone a certification course in Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Management.
She has written some insightful articles on Land Law: “Compulsory Acquisition of Land by the Government: The need to review the Land Use Act” “The Economic and Social Effects of the Lagos Land Charges Law on Prospective Investors” and Double Taxation as practiced by the Stamp Duties Office contrary to the provisions of the Act”.
She is a member of Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (Wista International) Nigeria and an Associate Member of Capital Market Solicitors Association ( Nigeria). She is also a Member of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association.
