PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

Aiyetunde Coker was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985, and holds a 1984 LLB (Hons.) degree from the School of Oriental & African Studies, London University, London U.K. and a 1981 M. Sc. in International Politics from the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria., as well as 1979 B.Sc (Hons.) Degree in Political Science from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Nigerian Insurance Law Association.

She has been in active legal practice since her call to the Bar, working in a number of law firms, among them Priscilla Kuye & Co.; O.M. Finnih & Co.; particularly in close association with Bayo Kehinde (SAN) & Co. and Wemimo Ogunde & Co.

Her legal experience covers litigation in diverse areas at all court levels and extends to Property Law and drafting of Wills and Trusts and commercial investment documentation.

She is a pioneer editor of the Nigerian Supreme Court Reports.
